It was recently reported that the United Arab Emirates helped to reunite two Yemenite Jewish families with their relatives that they had not seen for decades. Following this development, MK Ayoob Kara proclaimed: “I welcome the departure of Jewish families from Sanaa, Yemen to Abu Dhabi.”
Nevertheless, at the same time, MK Kara is very disturbed by the publication of their reunification, as it jeopardizes the rescue operation in place for the rest of the Yemenite Jewish community: “Unfortunately, after it was published, quite a few Jews were imprisoned.”
“It took us a long time to release them and I don’t want to speak more about that,” MK Kara declared. “On the other hand, we will continue to operate in various countries in the region under the radar and will not give up till the last Jews immigrate to Israel.”
