Condemnation of Armenia’s aggression against Azerbaijan

14.09.2022

The recent military provocation by Armenia against Azerbaijan is a gross violation of the norms and principle of international law, as well as the provisions of the trilateral statements signed between the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and the Russian Federation, and the agreements reached between Azerbaijan and Armenia. These steps of Armenia are completely contrary to the ongoing normalization and peace process. At the time, when Azerbaijan is carrying out large-scale restoration and construction work in these territories liberated from occupation, Armenia by launching aggression once again demonstrates that it is hindering the peace-building process by all means.

Such behavior is unacceptable at a time when the parties are negotiating the signing of a peace agreement mediated by Russia and the EU. The delay by the Armenian leadership in the signing of this agreement, as well as the start of the demarcation and delimitation of borders, leads to such situations. The Economic Peace Center of the Honorable Ayoob Kara together with his editor Rachel Avraham condemns the recent provocation of Armenia and calls on the international community to take urgent action.
