“This week, I visited the Ministry of Regional Cooperation, which I managed in a previous government,” MK Ayoob Kara noted. “I met with Minister Ofir Akunis, a good friend who presently heads the Ministry for Regional Cooperation. During our meeting, we agreed to work together for more peace agreements in additional countries.”
“I displayed my experience working to advance various peace agreements in front of Minister Akunis and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu,” he added. “Minister Akunis will determine what actions need to be taken to promote increased cooperation with various countries in the region. The minister also agreed with me on the great potential for peace in our region.”
According to MK Kara, “Minister Akunis acknowledged that the Likud brought about five peace agreements to date and that seven more are on the way, while the left is only talking about making difficult concessions in exchange for peace.”
