Following the recent peace agreements between the State of Israel and Bhutan, Morocco, Bahrain, Sudan and the United Arab Emirates, former Israeli Communication Minister Ayoob Kara visited the tomb of Jethro, the father-in-law of Moses, a holy Druze prophet and a respected leader in the Jewish Bible: “I came to pray for the continuation of peace in exchange for peace, which I so believe in.”
“During the Hanukkah holiday, I pray for a miracle that will put an end to the difficult political struggles that we face,” Kara proclaimed. “These struggles threaten the continued existence of the State of Israel.”
Kara also prayed for a miracle that would lead to the speedy and safe return of the captive and missing Israelis that remain in Gaza. Israeli citizens Avera Avraham Mengistu and Hisham al-Sayed are presently being held hostage by Hamas, as are the bodies of IDF soldiers Hadar Goldin and Oron Shaul: “As is our custom from time immemorial, no wounded soldier should be left in the field and we are working with all our determination to bring home the captive Israelis and missing soldiers.”
