Ibrahim Ajami, CEO of Mubadala Emirates, one of the Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth funds, has invited emerging Israeli companies to work in the Gulf countries.
Ajami – who is the head of the investment unit in the start-up company in Mubadala – said that there is a need to welcome all investors – including the Israelis – to come to the region and learn about the opportunities available there.
He added that he saw no reason why this should not happen.
Israel is preparing to participate in this year’s Expo, to be held in the Emirate of Dubai, starting next October.
Last April, Israel said it would participate in the Dubai Expo, which it described at the time as a sign of the improved status of Tel Aviv in the Gulf region.
Meanwhile, an Israeli channel said that the head of the Dubai Diamond Exchange, Ahmed Bin Sulayem, has been visiting Israel for three days, to participate in the activities of the World Diamond Week exhibition in Tel Aviv.
The channel added that Bin Sulayem arrived in Israel on Monday to participate in the exhibition, which ended yesterday, Wednesday, in which three hundred businessmen and experts in the diamond field participated.
Ahmed bin Sulayem was elected Chairman of the Dubai Diamond Exchange in May 2018, and the first CEO of the Dubai Multi Commodities Center.
